About Band Dad Creations

Kevin Prescott’s grandfather Robin P. Robin was a sea captain for the Texaco international tanker fleet.  His hobby was woodworking, and he made furniture while spending long tours at sea.  When he returned to port, Robin shared his new creations with family and friends.  Kevin became interested in woodworking while assisting his retired grandfather with his projects, and he used Robin’s tools to build his own furniture.

Kevin expanded his woodsmith talents as his daughter advanced through the school system in Frisco, Texas.  In her early school years he designed and constructed the theater props for the kindergarten plays.  Later he worked with middle school band directors to produce an equipment transportation cart for football games and other performances.  He also constructed middle school band hall storage shelving tailored to limited facility spaces.  Kevin has also designed and built entertainment props and mascot drying racks for some of the local professional sport teams.  A few of his more recent creations include a mix of props for high school marching band and color guard performances.  Over the years Kevin has gained the nickname of the “Band Dad” while working with the Frisco ISD band programs.

What makes Band Dad Creations unique

The artifacts made by Band Dad Creations prove that it is not a handyman business.  Kevin understands the needs and visions of band programs because he is a former high school and university band member.  He teams with band directors and visual planners to discuss the ideas and options of the desired solution.  Kevin has held different roles with sports organizations and is also a professional mascot performer.  He recognizes that sports teams need props and products that are both durable and easy to use.

So what is the next big creation?  Let’s talk about what you envision and we will go from there!
